Since 2010, Design Academy, formally Known as Intcad Institute of Interior Designing & Cad in Kalkaji, Delhi has been offering professional training to students. It specialises and is well-known for training students as well as working professionals in Short Term Courses as well as Diploma Programmes. Short term courses include Graphic Designing, Web Designing, Basic Computer, Advance Excel, Autodesk Software’s, etc. Diploma programmes include Interior Design, Multimedia with Animation and Diploma in Computer Application. Design Academy is an Autodesk Authorized Training Centre as well as CorelDRAW Authorized Training Centre which enables the students to get certificate from Autodesk and CorelDRAW after completing their training for the courses offered by Autodesk and CorelDRAW. The Academy is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institute, as well as it is registered with MSME.

The Academy aims at providing quality education to its students in order to help them explore extraordinary depth of creativity and designing skills.

Ms. Priya Khosla

Director/Interior Designer

Ms. Priya, an Interior Designer having an experience of over 16 years is into designing as well as teaching. She is into designing & planning of interior spaces and aims at efficient and functional use of space with an understanding of aesthetics. She is into teaching of computer software’s including AutoCAD, 3ds Max & Revit Architecture. She is an Autodesk certified instructor and is passionate about teaching and aims for bright future of all her students. She has been a guest lecturer at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Delhi University since the year 2011 & visits Amity University, Noida, UP for taking Viva of Interior Designing final year students. Apart from this she has been guest faculty in other renowned colleges as well.

Mr. Junaid Khan

Centre Head/Interior Designer

Mr. Junaid, an Interior Designer having an experience of over 14 years is into designing of variety of sectors from public space, retail and restaurant to hotels and residential developments. He analysis client’s needs and makes sure that the project is finished in accordance with the timeline & budget. He is an Autodesk certified instructor having a great passion for teaching. He is into teaching of Interior Designing and trains the Diploma & Degree students as per market level. He is also into teaching of computer software’s important in the field of Interior Designing and Architecture including AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Revit Architecture, Photoshop & Google SketchUp.

Md. Salim

SOFTWARE INSTRUCTOR

Md. Salim, a Software instructor having experience of over 2 years expertise in various software’s such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max & Google SketchUP. He gives training to graduates & under graduates pursuing Interior Designing and Civil Engineering. He assists Interior Designing and Civil Engineering students in the computer lab, helping them work on interior and exterior projects using different software’s. Under his guidance students get an exposure to different designing concepts and learn to be able to finish projects in a given period of time. This helps them to survive in the industry after getting placement from Design Academy.

Mrs. Nabaneeta Gupta

INTERIOR DESIGN FACULTY/ INTERIOR DESIGNER

Mrs. Nabaneeta, an Interior designer by profession and a teacher by trade, she holds a Diploma in Interior Design with a specialization in Furniture and Accessories from Kolkata. After a successful stint as a designer with Architectural firms and freelancer, she has turned to teaching profession. She is proficient in AutoCAD & Photoshop. She is a strong believer of imparting holistic approach to the subject of design. She has keen interest in Art, Product design, Installation art, Landscape Design, Vastu, Gardening, Sustainable Design & Conservation. She believes in the value of interdisciplinary design and tries to bring it all in her work.

Mrs. Ashi Kumar

INTERIOR DESIGN GUEST FACULTY / INTERIOR DESIGNER

Mrs. Kumar, an Interior Designer having experience of over 44 years is passionate about teaching. She is into teaching students of Diploma, Graduation and post-Graduation Programs in Interior Designing. Her specialized subjects are Product Display and Furniture Designing. Other than these subjects she is also into teaching of all the other subjects of Interior Designing. She is a guest lecturer in Design Academy and is invited to the Academy for giving lectures on different subjects including Product Display, Furniture Designing, Lighting, Restaurant Designing, Estimation & Costing, etc. Apart from this she is invited to take viva of Interior Designing students.

Mrs. Simmi Arora

INTERIOR DESIGN FACULTY/ INTERIOR DESIGNER

Mrs. Simmi, an Interior Designer having experience of over 25 years is an Interior Design faculty at Design Academy with masters in Interior Designing. Her objective is to share knowledge with the young aspiring education seekers in the field of Interior Design by utilizing her educational background, designing knowledge, and experience for their professional growth. She is a Vastu expert. Other than Vastu her expertise is into subjects such as Building Materials, Landscape Design, Furniture Design including history of furniture, interior furnishing etc. Her experience enables students to gain knowledge of not only interiors but also very important concepts used in interiors such as Vastu and Landscape.

Mr. Shishant Chauhan

SOFTWARE INSTRUCTOR/ GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Mr. Shishant Chauhan, a Graphic Designer by profession having over 10 years of experience is into teaching and supervising new ideas in Computer Studies and Graphical communication. He is into sharing technical knowledge of computer studies from basic to advance level with graduates and undergraduates as a foundation course to start their career. He is a Graphic Designer and trains students on different Software’s required for designing including Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Illustrator and InDesign with an overall aim to nurture the young building minds to translate their imaginations into accomplishments by delivering quality training.

Ms. Arti

COUNSELLOR

Ms. Arti, Counsellor, having an experience of over 5 years provides career counselling to students, based on the multiple course’s available to students at Design Academy and also help students with their personal issues. She expertise in dealing with students experiencing a wide range of emotional and phycological difficulties during the phase of completing their school life and entering into college life. She counsels the students undergoing mental stress due to parental pressure or having different mindset of choosing the field in which they want to build their career. Her aim is to help students identify their strengths and weaknesses, set goals and develop strategies for achieving academic and professional success.

Mrs. Kalyani Mahato

COUNSELLOR

Mrs. Kalyani, Counsellor, having an experience of over 4 years is into counselling students who are interested pursuing professional courses after 10 + 2. These courses include long term as well as short term certificate courses. Her aim is to guide students to choose the right path for their career. She suggests courses to students according to their interest and educational background so that they are able to learn and enjoy their journey at Design Academy and are able to get placed in the industry after completing their course from Design Academy. Her role is to empower students to attain their academic excellence and personal goals through customized mentorship.
