The duration for this course is two years .This course provides you complete details about fashion illustrations ,draping of different garments ,different presentation techniques ,inspirational designing, classic & innovative fashion details, technical details of fashion, fashion glossary, different variations in garments, different prints, color concepts, effects of color, different textures, principles of design, elements of design, standard measurement charts, drafting of different garment of kids and adults, different techniques of garment construction, garment ornamentation history of fashion ,overview of textile industry, traditional Indian textiles and embroideries and embroideries fashion marketing and merchandising etc. After completing this course fashion designers can be successful by opening self-employed garment units, working as retail buyers, purchasing manager, quality controller, pattern masters, textile designers ,merchandisers and many more.

Eligibility

You may join this after completing your 10 with 40%.

Examination & Certification

  • We have exams at the end of each year.
  • Exams include theoretical as well as practical.
  • Viva will be marked in external exam.
  • Portfolio Submission is mandatory and should be submitted within 10 days of the class taken or as per the dates given by the faculty.
  • To appear in exam student must have submitted all the sheets and files of respective modules.
  • Marking scheme include, marks of all sheets, exams, portfolio & viva.
  • Students will be issued a Diploma for Fashion Design and Merchandising and after completion of the course.

  • Classed : 10 Hrs/Week
  • Definition of Fashion design, Scope of Fashion Designing, Role and responsibilities of Fashion Designer.
  • Different types of silhouettes, necklines, collars, sleeves, skirts, yoke variations.
  • Different types of prints and their printing methods.
  • Different types of color theories , dimensions, and their effects.
  • Developing patterns and different garment contruction techniques,
  • Study of different kinds of fabrics available in the market.
  • Flat sketches and specification sheets.
